Hello everyone,

Students have been working on material in chapter 2 of their textbook based on the Youth Criminal Justice Act. Welcome to grade 9 Social Studies

Hi Folks,
This is my second year teaching at BWS; I teach PE for the school and grade 7 and 9 Social Studies. The students in grade 9 social studies are using a textbook called, "Issues for Canadians". Every chapter we cover has a major assignment as well as a test covering all the material discussed in class. Rarely, if ever, will I assign something and expect it to be complete the following day. Typically I will give one week’s notice and often times two weeks for larger assignments. ALL students have a red duo-tang for Social Studies and are to put all handouts, homework and assignments in it. So far homework has been:
Friday September 7
·      Read chapter 1 of textbook
·      Complete glossary of terms handout for chapter 1
Friday September 14
·      25 question fill in the blank found in red duo-tang (all students have assignment)
Friday September 21
·      Chapter 1 essay assignment
·      Chapter 1 test
Being a provincial achievement test year, things move at a pretty rapid pace, so if you son/daughter is struggling with a concept please do not hesitate to contact me.
Thank you,
Jamie Landry
